Let's Paint The Town Red :D

Saw this cute pic? xD
A Patrick-Spongy day outing today. Guess which one is me, which is JR. LOL. This time, hmm, I was early. Haha!
Shopping shopping shopping @ Bangsar. Honestly, this is my first time walking up and down to every boutiques and shopped for hours without a red light in mind. We went to almost all the boutiques along Jalan Telawi. Imagine that ! But seriously, it was really fun. :D
Of course, I bought a top! I kept my mind set that I must at least buy 1 thing from Bangsar, no matter what. Haha!

Not to be missed, food !!! :P
We went all around Bangsar Village Mall and I love the desserts there. Awhhhhh, the macarons, cakes, pastries, chocs all lookie so nice and delicious, that I feel like going into every desserts shops and order all of them and try. :D

Eventually, we went to Alexis for lunch. Cakes for lunch !

Tiramisu with Strawberry Sauce - rm15
(♥ the almonds! JR chose this. Yummy, lotsa almonds, my fav!)

Choc Macadamia Tart - rm12.50
(I chose this, since JR ♥ macadamia. Haha! It's so rich with chocolate and caramel~
Hmm, just realised that we actually chose the cakes with each other's fav nuts? Cute! LOL )

Good thing was I finally bought my dream sandals from Valentino Rudy today! Haha! *happy happy*
Thank God I stepped into KLCC today. :D :D :D

♥ this Thai dessert - Glutinous Rice with Mango! :P

Pure Pumpkin Soup! It's sweet. That's coz it's without curry powder I guess. Haha.

Time to sleep~ Totally feeling exhausted after whole day of outing today but FUN.
I'm lovin' my new sandals and top, that's for CNY!
I'm looking forward for CNY coz of those goodies and foodies actually. Haha! :D

P/S : Sometimes, it's fun to shop alone. =)
But now, looking forward for the next outing @ Pyramid, next Wed with Spongy! Pasta Zanmai~ :D

Darkie Purple

Another shopping session with JR today. Of coz I bought myself something. Final-finally! Haha!
It seems that going out with JR, I will always end up buying something. Which means, spending more $$$ everytime I'm with you. xD
Next stop, EMPIRE for macarons! *can't wait*

I chose Potato Soup instead of my Unagi @ Pasta Zanmai. O.o
Not bad also le. Ahhhhhhh, this reminds me of The Dome's gourmet pie, made me feels like I'm in heaven everytime I had it! :P
(high 5, we have same taste here! LOL)

Since today is the Pink Day, why not have a nice shot for 31? :D

The birthday party was great! Had lotsa fun hanging out with my peeps of coz, and with the NERD theme. Haha! i am wondering what's the theme for the next bday party. Slumber party? Sporties? Formal? xD

P/S : ♥ the souvenirs from all my wives, from the Penang trip. Didn't expect you all will buy them for me! Haha! Although they're just simple, but I ♥ you all for being so thoughtful! Thanks alot alot alot! :D

P/S : Ever since that incident, I realised that commiting suicide for a person who have stop loving you, is the stupidest thing, ever. Life is only given once from God, so why choose to waste it for someone who do not want you anymore, instead, should just start to appreciate and create a better life for yourself? Think about it.

Carrot Cake

By : Rachel Allen
This elegantly simple cake doesn't need to try too hard to be absolutely delicious. It's light, heavenly with ice cream, and the hazelnuts give it an incredible texture - delicate and nutty at the same time.
Serves 12

2 eggs
140ml (5fl oz) vegetable oil
200g (7oz) soft light brown sugar
300g (11oz) grated carrot (weight when grated)
100g (31/2oz) raisins
75g (3oz) pecans or walnuts, chopped (optional)
180g (61/2oz) self raising flour
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 tsp mixed spice

For the orange cream cheese icing:
250g (9oz) cream cheese (straight from the fridge)
50g (2oz) butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
275g (10oz) icing sugar, sifted
Finely grated zest of 1 orange

You will need a 13 x 23cm (5 x 9in) loaf tin
1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F), Gas mark 2. Oil and line the loaf tin with greaseproof paper.
2. Beat the eggs in a large bowl, then add the oil, brown sugar, grated carrot, raisins and chopped nuts.
3. Sift in the dry ingredients and bring the mixture together using a wooden or large metal spoon.
4. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf tin, smooth the surface and bake in the oven for 1-11/4 hours or until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean.
5. Allow to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before removing. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
6. To make the icing, beat the cream cheese and butter together in a bowl until combined. Add the vanilla extract, icing sugar and finely grated orange zest and mix to combine. The icing should be smooth and quite thick. Using a palette knife, spread the icing evenly over the cooled cake, dipping the knife into a bowl of hot water if the icing is hard to spread out. Cut into slices to serve.
Rachel's Baking Tip:
Un-iced, this cake is also delicious sliced and buttered.

Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake

By: Anna Olson

Ingredients:

Crust:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs 250 mL
1/3 cup ground hazelnuts 80 mL
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed 60 mL
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted 60 mL
1/2 tsp vanilla extract 2 mL

Filling:
2 cups whipping cream 500 mL
6 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped 175 g
1 lb cream cheese at room temperature 500 g
3/4 cup sugar 190 mL
1 Tbsp cornstarch 30 mL
1/2 cup hazelnut liqueur 125 mL
2 large eggs 2
cocoa powder, for dusting
whole, toasted and peeled hazelnuts, for garnish

Method:

For crust, preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C) and grease a 9-inch (2.5 L) springform pan. Pulse graham crumbs, hazelnuts and brown sugar in a food processor. Add melted butter and vanilla extract and pulse until an even texture. Press into bottom of prepared pan and bake for 7 minutes. Allow to cool while preparing filling.

For filling, reduce oven temperature to 325 °F (160 °C). Heat cream to just below a simmer. Pour hot cream over chopped chocolate and whisk gently until smooth and set aside. In a bowl using electric beaters or with a mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream cheese until fluffy, scraping the sides of the bowl often. While beating, slowly pour in sugar, again scraping the bowl often. Beat in cornstarch. By this time the filling should be looking a little more fluid. Slowly pour in hazelnut liqueur and beat in eggs, one at a time. Pour chocolate mixture into cheesecake filling and blend well. Scrape filling into pan and bake for 30 minutes. Without opening the oven door, turn off the oven and leave cheesecake in another 30 minutes. Remove, let cool to room temperature, then chill overnight.

To serve, remove cheesecake from pan, dust top of cheesecake with cocoa powder and decorate with hazelnuts.

STYLIST NOTES:
- no need to test
- original menu included Icewine peaches (was a way for me nto integrate excursion), but PE said nope to Icewine, and I don’t think we need it anyways.

Makeover :D

1. Wake up 20 minutes earlier than normal ~ early risers have been proven to be more organised and productive. Make sure alarn clock is not within reach.

2. Plan a big task for the week. And focus on just that the entire week ~ prioritise tasks.

3. Read something funny and LOL ~ Laughter is the best medicine lighten up a lil ; youdeserve it. "If you can find humuor in anything you can survive it."

4. Set aside a holy hour just for yourself ~ devoted to personal development, this precious hour spent on being inspired will make a difference and give you time to think of what you want out of life.

5. Pay your bills promptly

6. Show up at least 5 minutes early for appointments ~ be the preson wwaiting patiently for a change and see what a different and better feeling it actually is. It gives you more control over your day and your commitments.

7. Clear your work desk and keep it clutter-free

8. Volunteer for a day ~ doing good makes you feel good about yourself and it also feels good to just make someone's day.

9. Eat raw veggies ~ Feed your body with essential nutrients. Notice how you feel much lighter and more energetic when you have a salad for much, compared to something fired and greasy.

10. Take a power nap ~ keep the nap between 15 to 30 minutes as sleeping longer can make us harder to wake up (leaves you feeling groggy and ven more tired)

11. Give someting away ~ charity

12. Say "Thank you" to a stranger ~ being thankful is good for the soul. Grateful people are often more content because they don't spent time comparing themselves with others.

13. Exercise an extra 10 minutes today ~ Run a lil bit longer, take the stairs instead of the evevator, to really get that heart rate going so your body can benefit from the extra oxygen being pumped throughtout.

14. Make time to eat a healthy breakfast ~ the most important meal of the day as it gives you the fuel for the day. Skip it, and you will feel lethargic and tired, and worse, overeat later.

15. Empty your closet and toss what you don't need

16. Make the bed as soon as you get up ~ one of the quickest step steps to be an organised person. Start off the day by feeling producitve, disciplined and effiient first thing in the morning.

17. Tke a deep breath ~ focus on inhaling and exhaling.

18. Stay away from computer for 24 hours ~ less hours doing other things like reading or spending some quality time alone. Go for a walk, read a book, have fun with friends, get some fresh air and natural light. Also, you are likely to experience some level of "brain freeze" - where mind goes bumb, eyes are strained and back aches. Whatever it is, no FB for you!

19. Replace has-beens ~ letters from high school crushes? Burn them! The point is to remove things that don't matter anymore so that you can have newer fand better] things in your life.
Holding on to the past has never brought any good to anyone, so why should you be doing it?
Belng able to leave the past behind allows you to focus on the present so that you can embrace a new future. Leave what's behind where it belongs - in the past.

20. Spoil yourself

21. Stop multi-tasking ~ give your 100 percent focus to completing just one task before you move on to the other.

22. Empty your handbag ~ take out what's unnecessary.

23. Turn off the phone for a day

24. Do less for a day ~ there aren't ever enough hours in a day, and trying to excel in everything is bound to drive you in one direction - downwards, and into depression, especially when you don'i live up to your own expectations! Wanting it all cannot be done; instead, concentrate on
wanting what's important - spending time with loved ones and doing things you enjoy.

25. Take a look in the mirror and tell yourself something good ~ send 15 minutes in front of a mirror and tell yourself the things you like. Saying positive things encourages yourself and increases your self-esteeml So go ahead, tell that person in the mirror what's great about you. Positive affirmation works. It replaces your negative thoughts with helpful ones. The more time you spend moving away from negative thoughts, the more time you can spend focusing on your strengths and how to realise your dreams.

26. Do something fun with someone you like

27. Lose an argument ~ there are more important things to think about besides who's right or wrong. "To be happy, there is no such thing as one and only one correct perspective. The best way to get what you want is to stop being right."

28. Sleep an hour earlier ~ being a night owl has many disadvantages - you are robbing your body of healthy sleep, causing your mind to lose focus and concentration from lack of sleep.
Sleep helps to repair your body, keeps your heart healthy, reduces stress, improves your memory, boosts productivity. Sleeping properly also help you control your body weight and slow down the process of ageing.

29. Meditate, 5 or 30 minutes ~ close your eyes and focus on breathing. Let whatever thoughts comes to mind. The idea is to be calm and relaxed.

30. Say NO today

Year 2011

Another FRESH New Year is here.
Another year to live! To banish worries, doubts and fear.
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given to us to live each day with zest to daily grow and try to be our highest and our best!
We have the opportunity once more to rectify some wrongs, to pray for peace, to plant a tree and sing more joyful songs!
Happy New Year!

An outing with my Japs friend on NY'S eve is really awesome. Had hours and hours of chatting with her, non-stop about life and all. She's someone who I really adore, someone who I never want to be out of my life. Well, we only meet once a year, which is good in a way though. =)

I'm glad and smiled when I received those sms-es from my close friends, as every sms has its meaning, giving me the motivation to be a better, stronger person.

A close friend of mine once told me - Only a good friend will tell you those bad/wrongs attitudes we have and to be a much better person (You should know who you are when you read this. Hehe). Thanks lots for this advice. =)

Jing Rong's sms is the only long sms that is Hand-typed which I ♥ lots! Haha.
Well, somehow those hand-typed sms-es are more meaningful to me, although some are short, than those generic new year sms-es.
Akemashite omedetou ~ A japanese New Year wish from my craze-japanese, just like JR, that's why I sent you this wish too. xD

A recap for Year 2010 - This is the year that I have learnt many things in life. That's the best part. Well, last Jul-Dec sem was an awesome and great sem for me. It has been so long that I felt so happy and enjoyable going to classes and college, thanks to my friends! They are the ones that can make me LOL everytime I attended classes. Also, I went out, Sing K and watch movies with them too, the most throughout my whole entire college life. Haha. Well, the memories we had together will always be in me, the ups and downs. =)

Sad part of the year is betrayal by someone who was once the closest to me. The amount of lies that is uncountable. Someone who is so mean, who I can never forgive,
who I really want to forget and to not be in my life anymore. Well, I'm glad it happened too, as I can see the true colours in that someone, now, better than much later, and so do not want to have those bad people in my life. Those who are close to me who knew this and witnessed everything, plus always be there for me whenever I needed them. They are the ones who can make me smile, even just simple things they did or said, and who can make me LOL which helps me forget the sad matters and to heal much faster. Thank You so much to you all. I am really grateful to have your support and advices, helping me to be stronger all the way. I don't know how to express my gratitude to you all, but really THANK YOU!
Despite the sad part, I really do treasure Year 2010 alot. Last best thing of the year was I can meet JR. Haha. Something that is unexpected and I just still can't believe how small the world is. xD

Well, I didn't have any resolutions in mind. Just go with the flow, and not to repeat the past anymore.
Hope everything goes well throughout this new, blessed year. ^_^
Work? Umm, I am cracking my head now, as I do not know when to start work. Feel like want to go for holidays more, but no plans at all. Sigh...
Love? Hmm, that would be few years later, not this year, although I promised B that I can only get a bf after May. Haha. Nah, I want to enjoy my life being single first
and to devote my time more to my family and friends too before committing to any serious relationship, something that is not in my mind now. Well, I just want a really free life now.

Hmm, suddenly find that babies are really cute, after having a biggie gathering with my family yesterday. My 1 year plus old nephew ran after me, with his hands up, I actually thought he wants to kejar me, so I ran away from me. Mana tahu my cousin told me that he actually wants me to carry him up, that's so cute! and he didn't cry at all. xD
Used to scare of babies, esp when they cry, but after playing with them, I started to like babies already. Haha. They are just...wonderful and so CUTE~ :D

Happy New Year!
Have a new start, everyone!

P/S : My first time chatting with him this much. I have never chatted with him this much. Every single moment chatting with him, made me want to cry. Just by watching at him, can make my eyes wet. I am really happy to know that he can still recognise me and when he held my hand. I will always rmbr those advices he gave me and that very moment I chatted with him. God, do bless him. He is someone I
♥ and I want him to be on my marriage day, at least, although it is 10 years from now, is it possible?

冬至快乐!

Biggie Boogie readers!

It's Winter Solstice festival once again. Another year...GONE!
But a new year begins, with a new CHAPTER in a new BOOK~!!
Happy Dong Zhi~

Tangyuan, ahh.....my favourite! :D
Speaking of this reminds me of Jing Rong, telling me about tangyuan with chocolate filling, which is what I yearn for too! And pop...I made 5 balls for myself this morning. I ♥ it when the choc just melts in my mouth! Haha.
I know I know, my home-made balls are not in the same size and retarded looking, well, just need to improve on that. :D
Well, we can only eat tangyuan once a year you know. Sad case! Unless...on my wedding day? That would 10 years later! xD

Yesterday was the Eve! I always ♥ EVE! It makes me feeling so excited for the next day~
Finally went out for a movie yesterday! Went for "long-blondie with green
chameleon" movie with Jing Rong @ Pavilion. (FYI, I prefer your Chinese name more, it sounds like a Korean name to me!)
Well, it was my very first time to sit train all by myself actually. *paiseh*
But Thank Godness I didn't get lost although I was 15-mins late. Aiks, first date with JR and I was already late, man! I'm such a bad date! @.@

The way we met is still kinda funny and unbelivable to me. I can't believe that I can remember it so well too. LOL~
Honestly, JR is the first person I know who have the most similarities as mine! I was pretty surprised too at first, as not many of my friends have that much similar interests as mine. So, kinda feeling lucky to know you, JR, although we are of different age! It's like the more we talk, the more I can find similarities in us. Best thing is we both
♥ FOOD! :D

Ahem... yesterday was a FABULOUS day for me (lotsa first times too! but not gonna post them all up here. Hehe) :D
Received a shocking-but-happy call early in the morning, that makes me smile like this > :D :D :D in the train.
You asked if I want you to call me back later, nope, I just don't let you to coz I was super happy receiving your call, so I just let you do the talking, as I don't want to let go of any chances, I mean, anything can happened, who knows right? Haha.
I was given about 2 weeks period for the outcome, mana tahu, I only need to wait for 20 hours for my dream to come true! :D
I just can't stop smiling you know, and the people in the train must be thinking I'm going nuts after receiving the call. Nah, who cares, I'm super happy that is what matters! LOL~

Finally, get to try out MACARONS! Been longing for it ever since JR mentioned it to me that there are really nice! Guess how much for 1 macaron? Rm8. I know, it's mahal, but it's worthy! :D
And you know what? One weird fella (who is a waiter of the cafe) actually "flirt" with me. WTH! Arrggghhhhh, I know he is trying to get my stupid attention by saying don't know what,
after doing that lotsa-eye-winks to me, nah, I just don't give a look on him, and just say Thank You and walkaway! It's not lucky, okay? It's grosssss...~

♥ I'm in heaven!
Credits to JR for the recommendation!
How ngam, we actually took Christmas colours! LOL
Oh yeah, the colours are the same as of the link of my blog too. Since you like clover, here you go, you're part of my blog lo. Happy? Hahaha!
These ain't hamburgers you know, well can called them as hamburgers dessert. Haha.
I want to try them again! :P
And thanks alot to you too, for the awesome outing~ :)
And sowie, for kept waiting for me. *paiseh*

Aahhh..... *salivating*
U Hu! Hu! I like the name, so cute! xD

Christmas party is just 3 days more to go! Hopefully what I wish for will turn out well on Xmas day~ *finger crossed*
I'm loving Taylor Swift's Last Christmas! *thumbs up*

"Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special"

P/S : Today's dinner would be GREAT! :D

Happy Winter Solstice :D

Biggie Boogie Readers! :D

冬至快乐!

A new year begins, and a new CHAPTER in a new BOOK! :D

你不知道的事 (王力宏)

Another Lee Hom's song from his new album that I ♥ (Love In Disguise OST).
Bernice's translation is - "You never knew....that this world is full of many things you never knew".

A butterfly must blink its eyes a few times
before mastering how to fly
The night sky is sprinkled all over with stars
but a few will fall to the ground
I fly, but you are falling at the same time
I am close enough to hear your breathing
Yet, I'm sorry, I did not hold onto you tight enough

You don't know why I left you
I insist on not telling you and let your tears run
Your teardrops seem like a downpour shattering all over the ground
I clearly know in my heart
that you do not know why I am so cruel
hovering high above you where you cannot see
There are many things that are things you do not know

A butterfly must blink its eyes a few times
before mastering how to fly
The night sky is sprinkled all over with stars
but a few will fall to the ground
I fly, but you are falling at the same time
I am close enough to hear your breathing
Yet, I'm sorry, I did not hold onto you tight enough

You don't know why I left you
I insist on not telling you and let your tears run
Your teardrops seem like a downpour shattering all over the ground
I clearly know in my heart
that you do not know why I am so cruel
hovering high above you where you cannot see
There are many things that are things you do not know

I fly, but you are falling at the same time

You don't know why I left you
I insist on not telling you and let your tears run
Your teardrops seem like a downpour shattering all over the ground
I clearly know in my heart
that you do not know why I am so cruel
hovering high above you where you cannot see
There are many things that are things you do not know

The reason will always be hidden in me, and will never be known anymore.

柴米油鹽醬醋茶 (王力宏)

Watched the MV on MTV just now, and I find this song really very meaningful. ♥
This is the first song Bernice recommended to me when Lee Hom debuted his new album. =)

When you were young, what did you want
I wanted a large blue airplane
To take me around the world
To every corner of the earth
Going back and forth among the white clouds in the blue sky
And after I grew up, what did I want
I wanted a tiny red answering machine
To record together with you
"Hello, we are not home right now"
The blue turned into red because of you
Firewood, rice, oil, salt, paste, vinegar, tea
Every single drop is happiness sprouting
The crescent moon shines over love’s foolishness
I lack nothing when I have you
When you were young, what did you want
I wanted a large blue airplane
To take me around the world
To every corner of the earth
Going back and forth among the white clouds in the blue sky
And after I grew up, what did I want
I wanted a tiny red answering machine
To record together with you
"Hello, we are not home right now"
The blue turned into red because of you
Firewood, rice, oil, salt, paste, vinegar, tea
Every single drop is happiness sprouting
The crescent moon shines over love’s foolishness
I lack nothing when I have you
Providing you with happiness whether it’s day or night
Grasping both hands tightly even if it’s windy and rainy
I just want you
Want you to stay by my side
Protecting you eternally

Firewood, rice, oil, salt, paste, vinegar, tea
Every single drop is happiness sprouting
The crescent moon shines over love’s foolishness
I lack nothing when I have you
The crescent moon shines over love’s foolishness
There is no reason
To live so complicated
I lack nothing when I have you

P/S : Lee Hom is really super 帅~ :D

我不配

I was really touched yesterday, for what he did for me.It was sweet, even from the very beginning.
I ♥ the gift alot, first time I received it. Thanks alot! =)
Thanks for making me laugh too, everytime we met! =P

But I am really afraid I will hurt him more later.

This semester, seems to be very different from the previous ones.

Everything that happened to me, are just so new to me, and honestly I'm very surprised too.
I'm happy that I can forget the past because of all these.
To the eyes of others, they are totally good things for me, like what my friends said.
But I really don't know if they are.

Why those around me must be so nice to me?
(I know I shouldn't be complaining about this fact, but bcoz they are too nice to me, that's why I'm so afraid I will hurt them eventually.)

Why look at someone like me, when there are others?
Why they are so caring towards me, when they are others who need more care than me?
Why choose someone like me?
I know they can't answer me these, only God knows.

I don't want to hurt anyone.
But I have hurt one person already this sem, and I am afraid I will hurt another, him.

Sometimes, I hope they don't treat me so so nicely. Just DON'T.
Sometimes, I even hope I don't exist, and let me be forgettable to them.

我不配
Honestly, I hope I'm just not worthy to him, perhaps by this way, I won't hurt him.

Can't wait to sing K with them later. ^.^

P/S : Hope everything goes on smoothly, as before. *fingers crossed*
God, please don't let me hurt them anymore, not anyone.
Please let me be the one that can make EVERYONE around me be happy.
